The contemporary training demands the development of the potential of the human being; for this, the teacher needs to use didactic strategies that stimulate the active participation of the students. The article presents the methodological approach followed to implement project-based learning (PBL) as a didactic strategy of the teaching-learning process in students of the Charapotó Educational Unit, Cantón Sucre, Ecuador. In particular, it delves into the coding process, as a data analysis and interpretation technique and its results, which made it possible to assess this process, characterized by the passivity of the students, as a premise for designing a didactic strategy based on the PBL. These results are part of the Master's research developed by the main author.
